In “Sorry to Bother You,” a young African- American in Oakland (Lakeith Stanfield), down on his luck, takes a telemarketing job at a sleazy hole-in-the-wall office and vaults to the top, using his “white” voice (which makes him sound like Mr. Moviephone). As part of this Faustian bargain, he meets some shady characters, including the sleazy, one-percenter client CEO type (played by Armie Hammer)who has plans far greater than telemarketing. Wild, wacky, political, brilliantly absurdist comic writing and direction by Boots Riley. Everything “Get Out” should have been but wasn’t. Abso-flipping-lutely go. (Wednesday)
